Amy Tan

VP, Head of qualitative

Amy first joined Ifop Asia in 2011 and has been heading the qualitative division in Ifop Asia ever since. She has more than 18 years of experience in market research across the region, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, etc.

After graduating with a Bachelor in Management from the London School of Economics in England, she went back to Singapore, where she is originally from, and started her career in market research. She worked for Euromonitor and Blackbox Research in Singapore before commencing her quest to China.

She chose Ifop because she likes the boutique style set-up in Asia where the team is tightly knitted and clients become friends.

She has helped many clients across a wide range of industries, including Beauty, Luxury, Hospitality, Property, Baby Health & Food in conducting research across the region, from fundamental motivational, usage and attitude research to brand positioning studies and strategy.

She loves to travel and explore the world. Learning new things, cultures and people. She is very curious, she enjoys exploring, understanding and looking out for the latest trends happening in the different markets in Asia. Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, and conversant in Cantonese and Taiwanese, she loves to run groups, ethnography, workshops, online communities to enrich her understanding of the market. She also loves to illustrate her insights and finding in a more fun and dynamic manner with vlog reporting, bringing it to life for her clients.
